Out of Surgery

So surgery went until 1PM. Chief surgeon can't talk to us until tonight but the assisting surgeon says things went well. They didn't have to use any donor bone. He has 3 plates and 12 screws in his hip. Also, they looked at his other leg and decided it needs surgery as well. That will have to happen some other time. Things may change, but the word today is 6 weeks in a wheel chair, then to a walker and looking at 3-4 months before he is completely mobile.
